Since early 2025, I have been working with Cardiff City FC to support their ambition of reclaiming their status as Wales’ most successful football club. Throughout this period, I have delivered design work across digital, OOH, and print platforms, creating impactful campaigns aimed at maximising matchday attendance and fan engagement.

After a disastrous 2024/25 season, Cardiff City were relegated from the Championship to League One after finishing the season 24th in the league. To add to this, Joe Ralls, the captain and fan favourite of the club was leaving the club after 13 loyal years.

In uncertain times, it was my job to create a fresh visual identity for the 2025/26 season, with a confident and consistent feel, for a transformative season of rebuilding.

During the season, the Bluebirds beat Wrexham to reach the Carabao Cup quarter-final, setting up a huge tie against Chelsea. I created the promotional assets for the campaign across digital and print, helping to build momentum around the fixture — and we went on to sell out Cardiff City Stadium.

Throughout the League One season, I’ve produced the matchday creative for every home and away fixture, building a consistent look and feel across that supporters across South Wales can recognise. The focus has been on making each fixture feel like an occasion and giving supporters something to get behind.

With Cardiff sitting top of the league after a strong run this season, the momentum around the club has been matched by matchday visuals that help set the tone before kick-off. Through our game by game match marketing, we have achieved a average attendance of nearly 20,000 per game, breaking last seasons numbers even after relegation.
